5 Good and bad ideas when going overseas :

1. Good idea : Apply for your visa+passport early to ensure smooth travel overseas.
Bad idea : Arrive early for your midnight weekend flight only to realize that you forget to pick up the visa+passport at the embassy.

2. Good idea : Bring along some snacks or instant noodles in case of emergency.
Bad idea : Snacks and instant noodles weigh heavier than your luggage.

3. Good Idea : Travel light. Bring necessary clothes only.
Bad Idea : Travel light......at the expenses of your underwear.

4. Good Idea : Bring enough money and credit cards for emergency.
Bad Idea : Bring more than enough money only to realize, at the Italian airport, that its all in Ringgit Malaysia*.

5. Good Idea : D0n't overspend when you go shopping at the foreign country.
Bad Idea : Sleep on the streets, drink longkang water and eat tree bark just to minimize your expenses.

*Malaysian Ringgit can only be exchanged in only some foreign countries in South east Asia.
